  • 1 lb French bread cut into cubes
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 2 8 oz packs cream cheese softened

For the Streusel Topping:

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp butter melted


  • Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. Spread the cubed French bread in the dish.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pour the mixture over the French bread cubes. Cover the dish and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 8 hours.
