You’ll cure your family’s craving for comfort food with this special version of mac ‘n’ cheese.

Ingredients
- 1 package penne pasta
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup half and half
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- pinch of grounded nutmeg
Instructions
1 – Preheat oven to 350F.
2 – Cook pasta according to package directions.
3 – Melt butter in a saucepan on medium heat. Whisk in flour; cook, whisking constantly for 1 minute.
4 – Gradually whisk in milk and half and half; cook, whisking constantly until thicken. Stir in all 5 – cheese, salt pepper and ground nutmeg until smooth.
6 – Stir together pasta and cheese mixture. Pour it into a lightly greased baking dish. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden and bubbly. Serve warm.
