Crock Pot Beef & Broccoli

Do you own a Crock Pot? If so, then I have a delicious recipe for you today. It’s a healthy beef recipe, that’ll give you the right mix of protein, iron and of course you’ll have a nice size portion of broccoli as well. The end result is a tasty meal for you and your family. It goes great on its own, or with a pan-fried noodles or over a steaming bowl of rice. Either way, you’re going to love this!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pound boneless beef chuck (slice into strips)
  • 1/2 cup of soy sauce (use low sodium)
  • 1 cup of beef broth
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
  • 3 cups of broccoli florets
  • 1 cup white rice (pre-cooked)

DIRECTIONS

STEP ONE:

Combine the soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, garlic and beef broth. Whisk it together until it is well blended.

STEP TWO:

Slice the beef into pieces and place into the liquid spices. Toss to ensure the pieces of beef all have the liquid placed over it.

STEP THREE:

Place the contents into crock pot and cook on low for 6 hours. When fully cooked you’ll then add the broccoli to the crock pot and cook for an additional 30 minutes and until the sauce thickens. You can then serve over the pre-cooked rice.
